The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has accepted the hybrid model of Asia Cup proposed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). According to this model India’s matches will be played in neutral country Sri Lanka. Now four or five of the 13 matches of the tournament will be held in Pakistan, while all India’s matches including India-Pakistan will be held in Sri Lanka. If India reaches the final, then the final will also be organized in Sri Lanka.

Earlier the hybrid model was presented as a solution, in which both India and Pakistan had refused to play in each other’s country. Now it seems that the hybrid model will solve the problems of all these tournaments. If media reports are to be believed, information has come out from ACC that apart from the India-Pakistan match, Super Four matches can be played at Sri Lanka. Asia Cup will be organized in September and after that the World Cup will start in October.

The dispute that started between PCB and BCCI regarding the hosting of Asia Cup 2023 is now over. The hybrid model proposed by the PCB for Asia Cup has been approved. With this, the way for the Pakistani team to come to India for the ODI World Cup will also be cleared.
Asian Cricket Council have said that the hosting of the Asia Cup 2023 will remain with Pakistan. On June 13, an official announcement will be made by the ACC on the hybrid model of Pakistan. After this, Asia Cup Schedule 2023 will be shared and this tournament will be organized in September.
